Scottish Rugby Clubs & Schools Communications

Welcome back to Club Communications, where you'll find information on this year's Scrum School launch, a National Competition Rules 2024/25 consultation update and tickets for the Community Recognition Awards.

And all of our Silver Saturday teams are now finalised just 4 days out from the big day.

We encourage you and your club to make the most of the opportunity to see some of the best club rugby in the country. To find out more about the day, head to the Silver Saturday webpage.

Silver Saturday teams finalised, raring to go

Hawick learned their Silver Saturday opposition on Saturday as Edinburgh Academical defeated Marr to reach the Scottish Cup final, the pinnacle of the domestic knockout game.

Meanwhile, the Men’s National League Cup final contenders have also been decided as Lasswade defeated Allan Glen's and Falkirk overcame Newton Stewart to book their spots.

With just five days remaining until Scottish Gas Murrayfield and Hive Stadium opens the turnstiles, Silver Saturday offers a unique opportunity for fans to see rugby played at both stadia on the same day. And at just £10 for an adult ticket, it’s a no-brainer for a fan of the domestic game.

For more information, including links to tickets, streaming details, and club media accreditation, please head here. We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Scrum School 2024 Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of this year’s evolution of Scrum School.

This year’s edition of the programme aims to bring high quality Scrummaging content to every coach and every player in every environment.

In what will be a celebration of all things that makes packing down an art form, Scrum School will continue to educate coaches whilst giving players the opportunity to show off their skills.

Consisting of a series of practical workshops, online content, player competitions and celebration days; Scrum School will aim to develop and show off the gladiatorial, superhuman feats of strength and agility that go hand in hand with scrums.

The target group of players will be U16 and U18 so that we have a new crop of skilled forwards ready to make the transition into adult rugby.
