1. Tell us a bit about yourself, school, how you ended up in Dundee and what it is you do?
I’m 22 Years old and from Lisburn, Northern Ireland. I came from NI to Dundee to study law at university in 2019 after a gap year of playing rugby in Hamilton New Zealand for Melville Rugby Club
2. How did last season go as captain?
Last season went really well. Mainly it was just a relief to get back playing after the COVID breaks. As a new squad of players under a new coaching staff and team name, I thought we gelled really well and the proof was in the pudding in our results- rising 4 places in the league from last season with notable wins over Melrose, Kelso and Cartha.
3. What’s your ambition for the team this season?
Our Ambition for this season is to continue playing expansive, fast flowing heads up rugby and hopefully this lifts us towards the top half of the table.
4. How’s the culture around the club ?
The culture of the club feels great at the minute- we have introduced a few new players and they are settling in well. We are blasting pre-season in this quality weather and the mood is relaxed, looking forward to our first hit out!
5 . Favourite players in the team and why?
I think every player in our team has something valuable to contribute around the park- We strive to be tenacious in attack and defence- this is orchestrated in the backs by Tommy Armstrong and Bradley McNamara and in the Pack by guys like Ian Reid, Sean Gauld and Adam Flynn.
